  3. This Program was written to help users of Adobe Type Manager and
  4. Ventura Publishing. Currently, when Ventura builds the ENVIRON.WID
  5. file, the fonts will appear in the order of the ATM.INI file. This
  6. is not what I wanted. This is especially frustrating if you are
  7. using Ares FontMinder because the fonts order is constantly being
  8. changed. 
  9. Programs exist to sort the WID file. This however mixes the built-in
  10. fonts and other soft fonts in with the ATM fonts. If however you
  11. sort the fonts in the [Fonts] section of the ATM.INI file before you
  12. build the ENVIRON.WID file, the ATM fonts will be in order followed
  13. by the built-in and other soft fonts.

  15. SortATM⌐ sorts the [Fonts] section of your ATM.INI file, creating a
  16. new ATM.INI file and saving the old file as ATM.$NI. When the
  17. program is done building the new INI file it will prompt you to
  18. restart Windows. Ventura will not see the sorted Fonts until Windows
  19. is restarted.

  21. If SortATM⌐ does not find the ATM.INI File in the C:\WINDOWS
  22. directory it will request a drive & directory for the file. It will
  23. then create a SORTATM.INI file to remember where the ATM.INI file
  24. resides.

  41. To Install the Shareware version, Make sure that VBRUN200.DLL is
  42. installed in your \windows\system subdirectory. This can be obtained
  43. in Compuserve and many other BBSs. Unzip the files on this disk and
  44. place threed.vbx in \windows\system, sortatm.exe & sortatm.hlp in
  45. your \psfonts subdirectory (this is my suggestion, not required).
  46. You will have to add it to Progman or Norton Desktop manually.
